Who’d have thought that the one-time school record holder for greatest number of swimming lessons skived, would be leaping at the chance to do this?  I’ve my elder daughter to thank for that – she loves swimming, wants me to take her more often and is desperate for us to ditch chlorinated lanes for something a bit wilder.  A couple of years ago, my health took a knock and I’ve found it really difficult to get back into regular exercise.  Running a business from home and home educating my two children means that time as well as motivation comes at a premium, but I’m hoping that being part of This Girl Can will force me to start using some long-neglected muscles.  At 40, I’m not sure I exactly qualify as a ‘girl’, but it’s never too late to try something different!
