We are delighted to announce a second year of partnership with Asahi UK and new Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% which offers the refreshing Italian taste experience of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, now with 0.0% alcohol.
The Club to Pub is an evening open water swim which will take place on Saturday 23rd July in Henley-on-Thames. Now in its 9th year, the sell-out event sees participants swimming 1.5km in the Thames from Henley Rowing Club to the famous Angel on the Bridge pub.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% will be sponsoring the finish area. Swimmers will exit the river directly onto the pub terrace, where they will be presented with a bottle of the brand-new alcohol-free variant or Peroni Nastro Azzurro – and a medal that doubles as a bottle opener. Winners of the various categories will also receive prizes from Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%, at a presentation attended by the Mayor.
Juliet Hume, Director of Operations for Henley Swim said “We are thrilled that Peroni Nastro Azzurro are again supporting the Club to Pub, this year with their new 0.0% alcohol version. As the popularity of alcohol free drinks rises, we are excited to be able to offer those swimmers that want it, the option of a well-earned alcohol free beer after their swim. This popular event sold-out within a few days of going on sale, there is no doubt that the idea of finishing a challenging swim with a quality beer is a significant part of the attraction.”
Sam Rhodes, Marketing Director at Asahi UK comments: “Drinking a low or no alcohol product should not involve compromising in any-way. We’re so proud of what Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% brings to the market and how it enhances the moment for consumers – an alcohol-free beer option with an Italian flair – refreshing Italian flavour and quality taste. We know that people are increasingly opting for low and no alcohol options as part of a balanced lifestyle when socialising in and outside of home. With its refreshing taste, people can truly live every moment – no matter where they are, what occasion it is or time of day, without compromise.”
Although the event is now sold out for swimmers, spectators are welcome. Swimmers will start to arrive at the Angel on the Bridge from around 7pm on Saturday 23rd July, and the bar will be open as usual.
