Which wave shall I select?

If you are planning on racing hard, and expect to finish in the top 100 swimmers, please select the performance wave. All other swimmers, both competitive and leisurely, can select between a male, female or mixed wave. Mixed Wave 1 and Mixed Wave 2 are both mixed sex and mixed ability. If you are swimming with friends, please choose the same wave.

Placings will be issued after all the waves have finished, and will be separated into sex and age group categories, along with a non-wetsuit category and team prizes.

Can I swim for charity?

What type of swimmer does this event suit?

This summer swim event is ideal for the first-time open water swimmer. Our recommendation is that you are capable of comfortably carrying out regular continuous pool swims of 2km. Age 18+

Where is the swim course?

The Club to Pub course is 1.5km. The first 400m are upstream, you will then turn around 2 large buoys, and complete the last 1100m downstream.

Where does the swim start and finish?

The start takes place at Henley Rowing Club. The finish is across the river at the Angel on the Bridge.

After your swim you can either walk the 700m back to the Club, or make use of the River Taxi service which will ferry people between the club and the pub. You can purchase unlimited river taxi trips for yourself and your spectators in the entry process.

Will there be food?

Burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers will be available. Food must be pre-ordered in advance, this can be done via the registration process. Unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate on the day requests. Your purchase will be available to collect from the BBQ at the Angel on the Bridge.

How can I connect with fellow swimmers?

We have set up a Facebook Forum called Henley Swim Chatter, where you are able to discuss anything with fellow swimmers from nutrition and training tips to event transport. There is also a Facebook Event page where news and updates specific to the Club to Pub will be posted.
